The Sun and Moon

I am thankful Family Friendly Gaming was given a digital downloadable code for The Sun and Moon on the Xbox One. The Sun and Moon is on other systems. I could not find a physical copy version of The Sun and Moon for the millions upon millions of families and gamers in the physical copy movement. I wish I had better news for you.

The goal in The Sun and Moon is to collect all of the items in each level and then make your way to the exit. Simple right? Easy right? Well getting through the levels in The Sun and Moon can be challenging. The main game play mechanic in The Sun and Moon is to shift into and through solid objects. As long as you have enough momentum. If you don't have enough then you will come flying out the other end. Which can be a big downer, and sometimes a level ender.

The music in The Sun and Moon is fun, fresh, and cool to listen to. It settled me down as I struggled to learn the physics in The Sun and Moon. The small graphics are plain. The character we play is like a tiny blob, or a dot. We collect other dots in the levels in The Sun and Moon on the Xbox One.

The level select grid in The Sun and Moon perplexed me. It is not always completely linear. There are times where it branches off into different directions. Which can be sort of helpful if your family gets stuck on a certain level. Practice is the best way to get through levels you might happen to be stuck on. Some levels feel impossible until there has been enough practice.

The puzzles in The Sun and Moon look really easy. It is enacting what needs to be done that can be difficult. That is my experience with this downloadable only home console video game. Let me leave you with one really important reality in The Sun and Moon. You can phase through almost anything. Just do not try to phase through spikes.
