Dawn of the Planet of the Apes

I was going through my stack of DVDs to review and came across Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. I remember seeing it and not being that impressed with it. So I thought it might be time for this DVD to earn its fifteen minutes of fame before it gets filed away forever. Humans were working on a cure for Alzheimer's, and tested it on chimps. It made the chimps smarter, and created a virus that killed off the majority of humans on the planet.

The issues families can have with Dawn of the Planet of the Apes is violence, religious teachings of evolution, animals being shown as better than people, blood, lies, deceit, bad language, and more. Expect to read a lot in Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. There is plenty of sub titles, especially early on in this action adventure science fiction fantasy movie. Liberals should like Dawn of the Planet of the Apes because humans are conquered.

Apes with guns is one of the worst parts of Dawn of the Planet of the Apes in my opinion. Especially with apes outsmarting and conquering a human town. The humans could have easily won if every single human had a gun on them. The dependency on the government is what leads to losing your liberty and freedom. It is always better to do things for yourself whenever possible.

The apes are shown almost like a tribe deep in the forest. They just want to be left alone. Let them live their lives as they see fit. There is also deceit in the ranks of the apes, and that is when their ruler Caesar realizes apes and humans are not that different. At least that is what Dawn of the Planet of the Apes wants to teach the viewer. Apes in this movie are given human traits and characteristics.

A few humans and apes work together to have peace in Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. There are humans and apes that both want war. The next movie will address the war. I know what will wind up happening even though it should not. That will be a review for the next movie in this series when it comes down to a decent price. Maybe a Black Friday purchase.
