Cars 3 Driven to Win

I am very thankful Warner Bros Entertainment sent Family Friendly Gaming a reviewable copy of Cars 3 Driven to Win on the Playstation 4. It is great to see Hall of Famer Lightning McQueen return. Cars 3 Driven to Win is closer to the amazing THQ Cars video games that got Lightning into the FFG Hall of Fame. Cars 3 Driven to Win is much better than that Cars 2 video game.

Cars 3 Driven to Win has a fair amount of modes. They are Events, Cup Series, Sponsored Team Play, Thomasville Playground, Hall of Fame, and Extras. When we go into Events there is Race, Battle Race, Stunt Showcase, Takedown, Best Lap Challenge, and Master Level Events. There is plenty to do in Cars 3 Driven to Win to warrant the price of admission.

Cars 3 Driven to Win adds something I was not expecting. What is this? Knocking other cars around. We can knock around other vehicles. That means they can knock us around too. This racing game is very heavy on the boost. There are tons of things on the track that can increase our boost too. There is driving backwards, drifting, driving on two wheels, bashing into other cars, and tricks.

Cars 3 Driven to Win looks good, and it sounds good. The controls are easy to pick up and learn. Cars 3 Driven to Win is a bit on the difficult side though. I raced on easy most of the time and even then I needed to save boost until right before the end to ensure a victory. The other cars are never too far behind. There is violence in the battle races making it like Mario Kart games. I am not that big on the weapons personally.

I loved completing tasks to unlock new things in Cars 3 Driven to Win. I like the twenty-three different cars, and over twenty tracks. There are plenty of cool characters in Cars 3 Driven to Win. I love how the tracks are huge and there are multiple paths on each track. The more I played Cars 3 Driven to Win, the more I unlocked. It was a pleasure to play and review this home console racing game.

Expect to learn a variety of new things in Cars 3 Driven to Win. This Cars video game has the most skills I have seen in any Cars video game. I just wish we could drive around in the town like we can in the original Cars video games. That was really fun. I hope this franchise continues for many years to come. Until then families can enjoy Cars 3 Driven to Win.
