Paddington

I am very thankful that Family Friendly Gaming had the financial backing to purchase Paddington on DVD on Black Friday. This cute little film is very family friendly. It is also one of the safest movies we have watched all year long. The one thing that confuses me about Paddington is no one seems surprised to find a talking bear. Are we in the Chronicles of Narnia or something.

Paddington has some cool lessons in it. This movie teaches us to care for others, think of others, do the right thing, have manners, and clean up the messes we create. There is plenty of humor in Paddington for the entire family. Paddington helps out a family in London in some neat ways. It is cool to see how his impact morphs the family into something completely different and better. They learn more about one another and spend more time together.

The portions of Paddington that families will be bothered by is peril, breaking and entering, drinking, deceiving, lack of respect for the head of the house hold, cross dressing, a spot of violence, and more. There was some humor in the cross dressing scene, as uncomfortable as it was. Another character very interested in the cross dressing character made it even more uncomfortable, gross, and disgusting.

For some reason Paddington has accidents that escalate quickly. The bathroom scene has to one of the best moments of this movie. The bonus features on the marmalade loving bear movie are Meet The Characters, When A Bear Comes to Stay, From Page to Screen, and Shine Lyric Music Video. For the life of me I can not understand why the evil character in Paddington does not see the financial value in a talking bear.

The grumpy cat twelfth doctor from Dr Who makes an appearance in Paddington. The actor's name is Peter Capaldi. He plays a fun role in this movie. Him and Nicole Kidman bring some Holly Weird star power to Paddington. It is neat to see this known children's character receiving such good treatment in this live action film. I hope to see more movies based on Paddington in the future. Hopefully they can clean a few things up.
