Madden NFL 10

I am very thankful that one of our faithful partners sent us a copy of Madden NFL 10 on the Playstation Portable (PSP) to play and review. This is a game that we missed when it first came out due to the failures of the PR and Marketing folks over at EA Sports. No worries as we are enjoying it now. If you have a PSP system that is working and it still plays the UMD discs, and you like football games then you should enjoy this one.

Madden NFL 10 looks good, sounds, good, and allows for some really cool custom plays. I loved how Madden NFL 10 lets us create our own routes, formations and more. There are also easy plays to select, or Madden can make suggestions, or you can pick a play by the formation. I played around with a variety of the modes and had a blast with Madden NFL 10.

There is a new fumble mini game in Madden NFL 10. Pay attention to what button(s) to press when that comes up. Bone wrenching hits are shown and played for the gamers. Madden NFL 10 also contains connectivity to the Playstation 3 (PS3). That is something I find to be very cool. There are quizzes that come up on the loading screens. Players can not make selections, just read the questions and a few seconds later the answers appear.

The music in Madden NFL 10 is obnoxious and annoying. Thankfully individual songs can be turned off in Madden NFL 10 on the PSP. I did not find one song in Madden NFL 10 that I would normally listen to. The commentary in Madden NFL 10 is fantastic. I loved listening to them while I was playing this hand held football video game. The announcers enhanced the game play experience in Madden NFL 10.

For those that want more than just football there is the Superstar challenge. I personally enjoyed taking my favorite team to win all of the games that I could. Yes I played the Seattle Seahawks even though they had a 4-12 record in this hand held sports video game. I had fun playing them, and finding plays that worked. Madden NFL 10 looks good for a hand held video game too.
