Superheroes The Epic History

I purchased Superheroes The Epic History for twenty dollars before taxes. It comes with two DVDs, a small collector’s edition book, old looking collector cards, and a small brochure by Roy Thomas. There are four hours of footage on the two discs. The discs are Superheroes A Never-Ending Battle, and Pioneers of Television Superheroes.

There are a couple of really interesting facts admitted in Superheroes The Epic History. The first one is the majority of those in the comic book industry have an extreme liberal bias. The second one is they admit to brainwashing kids into their belief set. This is huge. Parents can now be aware that it has never been just entertainment. They are taking our money to undermine our beliefs.

Superheroes The Epic History is very anti-comic code of conduct. Which is a shame because I personally miss it. It is a shame it was thrown away. Yes it was rigid, and needed to allow for anti-drug messages. The new comic code of conduct is to rebel against God, attack Christians, and not allow things like pro-Biblical marriage. It has reversed what it once was and is now more of the unwritten rules than guidelines to keep comic books safe for kids.

The Pioneers of Television Superheroes is very interesting to me personally. Normally all of these actors talk about how great everyone else was. Not in this one. There is obvious bad blood between some of these arrogant actors. There is anti-male sexism to the point of femi-nazi levels. There were issues on the shows, and lies written in books. There is a heavy anti-corporation, and anti-leadership flavors in Superheroes The Epic History as well.

I feel Superheroes The Epic History is currently a bit overpriced. The collectors content is interesting, however I doubt it will increase in value over the years. I lost all kinds of money from ‘collectible’ comic books from the 1990s.
