Monster High Skultimate Roller Maze
SCORE: 76
The back of the Wii box of Monster High
Skultimate Roller Maze says: "On your mark, Get set, Scream!" What will
this game make families scream over? The entire horror theme. Monster
High Skultimate Roller Maze is like a mixture of any high school
television show, and the entire horror genre.
I want to be clear that Monster High Skultimate Roller Maze is not scary
like horror movies. It earns its everyone ten years old and older only
rating from the ESRB for a reason. There are a plethora of attacks
players can enact on their opponents. Coffins contain these powerful
attacks.
I learned a quick lesson on the first race in Monster High Skultimate
Roller Maze. Players must shift their team members. Each team member has
a stamina bar. As they race it decreases. The stamina bars of the other
team members will increase while they are not racing. If the stamina bar
gets too low for any racer they will slow down, and this Wii game will
tell you to change racers.
I know that most people will consider Monster High Skultimate Roller
Maze to be a racing game. To me it is more of a roller derby kind of
game. The characters skate around the track. The tracks can contain
multiple paths, which will have very little deviation. The racing can be
slow in Monster High Skultimate Roller Maze.
The road to success in Monster High Skultimate Roller Maze is to get
away from the pack. Characters in the pack will knock one another
around. Once the player can get ahead they have pretty smooth sailing.
As long as they can avoid the powerful attacks that will come their way.
There are coins on the tracks in Monster High Skultimate Roller Maze.
Collecting them will build a gauge that can produce an ultra power -
like a super speed boost for a short time. Three family members can
enjoy Monster High Skultimate Roller Maze at the same time.
The whole horror theme in Monster High Skultimate Roller Maze is very
different. I personally am not big on this franchise. I also feel that
Monster High Skultimate Roller Maze is on the easy side.
