Video games designed for girls have come a
long way this century. Disney Interactive Studios recognizes that girls
are a substantial market, and they have princesses for girls to interact
with. Disney Princess My Fairytale Adventure is one of their best games
for girls.
The storyline in Disney Princess My Fairytale Adventure revolves all
around princesses. Girls take on the role of an apprentice to
Cinderella's Fairy Godmother. She uses the wrong magic words and turns
sprites into imps. They take the crystals and enter worlds of the five
princesses.
The five main princesses in Disney Princess My Fairytale Adventure are
Cinderella, Ariel, Belle, Rapunzel, and Tiana. There are two levels per
princess. Girls have to complete the first one to open the second one.
Then they can complete the second one to earn the crystal for that
world.
The crystals in Disney Princess My Fairytale Adventure are important.
They allow us access to treasure chests. Those treasure chest contain a
variety of items that we can use to decorate our rooms, or our
character. This portion of Disney Princess My Fairytale Adventure will
interest girls.
The main focus of Disney Princess My Fairytale Adventure is helping out
others. There are eight different mini games to be unlocked in Disney
Princess My Fairytale Adventure. Once they are played in the main game
they can be played by multiple family members. The Wii version of Disney
Princess My Fairytale Adventure includes a drop in/drop out mode for up
to two family members.
Magic is major component to Disney Princess My Fairytale Adventure. It
creates the problem that this game orbits around. It also is how we get
ourselves out of trouble. Those imps in Disney Princess My Fairytale
Adventure replicate like rabbits. I cleaned them out only to find more
coming later in the level.
The graphics in Disney Princess My Fairytale Adventure are magical, and
resemble each of the princess worlds. I enjoy the verbal instructions as
well as the arrows and lights that show girls the way to go. Disney
Princess My Fairytale Adventure is a solid game for girls.
