Chillingo has another hits on their hands!
This time it is Chimpact. This flinger game screams high quality. In
fact Chimpact is head and shoulders better than so many other apps out
there. We launch a little monkey around these levels. He collects gems
and bananas along his way to his home. Where his monkey family is
cheering him on.
The graphics in Chimpact are amazing. We are talking about entering the
realm of where the Nintendo 3DS games are. The details are astounding.
The bright colors, and multiple objects are amazing. Leaves fall off the
bushes as we bump into them. The animations in Chimpact are as smooth as
silk.
The music in Chimpact made me feel like swinging through the jungle.
Which is a good thing since we are talking about a game with monkeys,
bananas and the jungle. Chimpact only has thirty-six levels. There are
twelve levels in three different worlds. Players need to earn so many
medals in levels to unlock the next one.
The amount of levels seem really light at first. Then we found the one
hundred and fifty different challenges. That gives family members
multiple reasons to replay Chimpact. This iPhone/iPod Touch and iPad
game seems really easy at first. And in the beginning it is easy. As I
progressed I noticed it was getting more difficult. Those gems can be
hidden in places my eyes were not always looking.
Exploration can become a big part of Chimpact. As we as finding which
areas your monkey needs to land to open specific areas. These may need
to be opened to progress or to find gems. Chimpact is an entertaining
game that is one of the highest quality games we have played here at
Family Friendly Gaming in some time.
We were provided a reviewable copy of Chimpact for this review. Chimpact
is another brick in the ever increasing Chillingo wall of fame. I am
still amazed at how they can consistently publish so many wonderful
apps. I hope they continue to publish games like Chimpact in the near
future. It was a real pleasure for me to play and review Chimpact.
