Snowtime

Snowtime

I am thankful Family Friendly Gaming was provided a pre-screener DVD for Snowtime. This cute little movie is rated PG for mild thematic elements, and rude humor. Snowtime deals with death, and war. Sadness is shown for a couple of characters. Others try to empathize with their pain. The music in Snowtime is fantastic. There are some songs in Snowtime that are very catchy. I enjoyed listening to a couple of them. I also liked the little first graders that were in the movie, and in the end credits. Snowtime has some funny moments that families will enjoy. The art work in Snowtime is very distinctive, and there are decent animations that look like real life. Like when one of the kids trips on his snowboard. I used to snowboard and remember those falls.

Spoiler Alert! Snowtime starts slow, and is boring. This is done to relay how bored the kids are. The snow town has mainly boys in it. So when a new family moves in with two girls it upsets the balance a bit. It also introduces a first love scenario. Both the boy and the girl are a bit stubborn through many parts of the movie. There is a dog that has gas emissions that is part of the rude humor. There are also snowball fights, and a giant snow fort. The action escalates in Snowtime with each battle. Until one of the characters dies. The snow war was taken too far. Who is really to blame? Those egging it on, and bragging they could not beat? Or those that found a way to win? You can decide for yourself when you see Snowtime.
