The Aetherlight Chronicles of the Resistance Coming in 2016
September 1, in the year of our Lord 2015 --
The Aetherlight: Chronicles of the Resistance is a ground
breaking new venture into biblical literacy for preteens. Based
in a mythical steampunk world, this game invites players to
explore a grand story and take part in the Resistance with a
mission to see the world restored. As they play, they encounter
vivid and engaging characters whose struggles and experiences
mirror the lives of those people we find in the Bible. As they
take part in the adventure players can also attend the
Resistance Academy.
This in-game activity centre challenges them to recognise the
characters and events from Aethasia in the Biblical text,
building their understanding of the stories and their meaning
for their own lives. As each chapter of the game is released,
the story will grow and the Resistance will build, spilling over
from Aethasia into the real world to make a significant
difference in how young people see and engage with God's word
and the world around them.
Whilst the game launches in 2016 - we are currently in closed
beta testing the game with a few thousand people round the
world.
Based out of a studio in Auckland, New Zealand, we've partnered
with Tyndall bible publishers to create a companion bible,
whilst we also have a book series and event pack in the works
with other publishers. This is a truly transmedia property!
