The Legend Of Heroes Trails in the Sky PC Release Date
First Chapter of Eagerly Anticipated RPG Series to Make English PC Debut Packed with Platform Exclusive Features and Enhancements
Torrance, Calif., (July
22, in the year of our Lord 2014) – XSEED Games, the
independent-minded console publishing brand of Marvelous USA,
Inc., is excited to confirm that the RPG title The Legend of
Heroes: Trails in The Sky will be made available on Windows PC
for the first time in English on July 29 via digital
distribution on GOG and Steam. The game will be released
globally and retail for $19.99 in the US, but fans who purchase
the game during its first week will receive a 15% discount. To
commemorate this occasion, XSEED Games has released their first
PC trailer since the title was announced in fall 2013.
Fans will be thrilled with the development of The Legend of
Heroes: Trails in The Sky since its original release on the PSP®
(PlayStation®Portable) system - PC exclusive features include HD
resolutions, significantly faster load times and customizable
controls. Additionally, enhancements back-ported from the
PSP®system release include New Game +, English battle voices,
and selectable difficulty levels after the initial playthrough.
Developed by legendary RPG specialists Nihon Falcom, the
multi-part story told in The Legend of Heroes: Trails in The Sky
represents an entirely new stand-alone entry in the timeless The
Legend of Heroes series. In The Legend of Heroes: Trails in The
Sky, players venture through the diverse landscape of the Liberl
Kingdom, experiencing its unique traditions and cultures along
the way and shaping the world itself with their decisions.
The Legend of Heroes: Trails in The Sky is the first chapter in
the series and opens in the quaint and peaceful town of Rolent
in the Liberl Kingdom. Home to a peacekeeping coalition free of
government ties known as the Bracer Guild, the adventure follows
two young aspiring bracers known as Estelle and Joshua on their
trials to become full-fledged members of this elite
organization. As they embark on their quest, their journey will
take them across an entire country, unraveling a sinister
government conspiracy along the way that's poised to overtake
the throne, threatening the very peace the bracers seek to
uphold. Throughout their adventure, players can expect to learn
the full depth of these characters' origins and motivations
through dialogue-driven cut-scenes and lengthy side-quests.
Combined with The Legend of Heroes: Trails in The Sky Second
Chapter, which is currently slated for release this winter, this
legendary fantasy epic boasts over a hundred hours of gameplay
featuring an engaging narrative that encompasses everything from
politics, economics and conspiracies to tourism, traditions and
even a cat-speech dictionary. The series also features a
meticulously customizable combat system, a massive cast of
characters from all walks of life, a variety of landscapes, an
in-game newspaper that publishes new issues as the story
progresses, and much more.
The Legend of Heroes: Trails in The Sky was developed by Nihon
Falcom and will be published on Windows PC by XSEED Games on
July 29, 2014. The Legend of Heroes: Trails in The Sky Second
Chapter is scheduled for release on Windows PC and on the PSP
system through PlayStation®Store this winter.
