GameGadget welcomes 33 classic MegaDrive™ games for download

Doncaster, UK - April 18, in the year of our Lord 2012 -- GameGadget have confirmed the addition of 33 Classic Mega Drive™ games to its new games console ahead of the April 2012 launch date. Games will be available for download via the GameGadget Marketplace in Europe, North America and Australia.

GameGadget offers gamers, game developers and game publishers, unrivalled choice and flexibility in how they play, create and sell games. Described as the iPod for Games, GameGadget is the first games console to be developed in the UK since the heyday of Spectrum and Amstrad over 20 years ago.

The announcement of GameGadgets first publisher deal comes with more details of the cost to customers of the games and the availability of the console at launch. GameGadget confirmed a Limited Edition release in April 2012 at an SRP of £99.99 (GBP). Included in this Limited Edition will be a download voucher entitling customers to 10 free SEGA titles when they first register their device.

A further 23 titles will be available for download via the GameGadget Application at prices ranging from £2.99 to £4.99. Games can also be purchased in packs of 10 at a discounted price of £9.99.

Jason Cooper - creator of GameGadget commented:

"We are delighted to be working with SEGA and to be releasing such tremendous games alongside the launch of GameGadget."

The GameGadget Application, the gaming equivalent of iTunes, allows for games to be downloaded directly onto the GameGadget via a secure DRM (Digital Right Management) system. Operating on a revenue share basis, developers of content receive revenue for every game that is downloaded.
