10th Anniversary Of PlayStation Plus Celebrates with Three Games for July

One of the reasons for buying PlayStation Plus apart from online multiplayer gaming is the free games that you can download and own every month. PlayStation usually publishes free-to-download games in the first ten days of every month, and the games are getting better from month to month.

PlayStation usually makes a giveaway for two games each month, but July is going to be something special. Sony celebrates the 10th anniversary of the free-game program, and it is giving out three games this month.

Even though there are no major first-party titles to die for, there are still some solid titles in the bundle.

All three games are available from July 7, so let's go through the games and find out whether or not you should download them.

1.       NBA 2K20

If you are one of the people who still didn't own NBA 2K20, now it's your chance. EA usually drops a new title every year in September, so now you can warm up with the current one until it's released.

NBA 2K20 is an extremely good game, and it features different game modes, even an open-world neighborhood mode. As always, it comes with impeccable visuals, but far away from the trailer we saw at the PlayStation 5 reveal on NBA 2K21.

The game has improved gameplay from the previous games, and you can also play MyCareer's story, which is surprisingly good.

This is a great free game that comes at a time when the NBA season is delayed until July 30. This will be an excellent way for all basketball fans to get back on the court and play some of the favorite teams on the NBA before the competition returns.

2.       Rise of the Tomb Raider

After the amazing success of the Tomb Raider movie, they decided to make a game. This is the second game in the Tomb Raider reboot, which was unavailable for PS4 players for a year since it was released exclusively on Xbox One.

However, this month, PS4 decided to give back to their players by making Tomb Raider free-to-download.

Rise of the Tomb Raider is an amazing game that features an open world for you to explore alongside incredible graphics that will give you the feeling that you are a true explorer. Combine that with the traditional linear narrative that ranges on all Tomb Raider games, and you have a great game.

The truth is, Rise of the Tomb Raider doesn't look that fresh as the first in the series, but you can still have fun exploring impressive environments and great action.

The story is perfectly balanced. It allows you to experience the environment without spoiling too much with cinematics.

3.       Erica

This is the third free-to-download game that PlayStation decided to give to players as a bonus. However, to the people that don't know about this game, it will definitely be a strange one.

First of all, Erica is a full-motion video thriller that lets you control the decisions of a troubled youngster. The game is basically cinematic with real actors and offers a non-traditional gaming experience. The story is incredible, and it features a young girl that confronts her violent past. Erica has the potential to be truly fascinating, and it is your time to control her decisions.

Erica was released more than a year ago, and if you still haven't heard about this game, it is because it wasn't that popular. The truth is, the game itself isn't necessarily to blame. Since it a strange non-traditional game, it still managed to find small, passionate fans for new gaming experiences.

These are the three free games on PlayStation Plus for July. Additionally, PlayStation announced another bonus coming as a custom theme for PS4, but it is still not available for download.

It is an exciting month for gamers, so go ahead and download the offer just because they are available for only one month.
