Word Logic by POWGI Releases
August 18th, in the year of our Lord 2016 --
Stoke-on-Trent, UK – Lightwood Games is excited to
announce that "Word Logic by POWGI" is now available on the
Nintendo eShop on Nintendo 3DS and Wii U. This new POWGI puzzle
compendium contains six different pen-and-paper style word
puzzles, each of which requires some degree of logic or
deduction to solve.
As usual, Lightwood has placed the focus firmly on the content
with intuitive touch-screen controls and - on Nintendo 3DS -
handwriting recognition. To ensure the game never gets in the
way of the puzzle, both versions include a “lefty mode”, to
avoid players blocking the screen with their stylus hand.
The puzzles included are:
Kriss Kross - The classic word-fit puzzle. Place words into the
grid using their length as a guide, and using logic to make sure
everything overlaps correctly!
Ladders - Make new words by changing one letter at a time. Can
you turn one word into another in a limited number of steps?
Crypto - A cipher puzzle (also known as a cryptogram) which
reveals a quote when you crack the code!
Word Sudoku - Place nine letters according to usual sudoku
rules. As an extra clue, one row or column will spell a word.
Gaps - Several words have one letter missing. Deduce the correct
letter to fill in the gaps and spell a new word!
Wordsweeper - Drawing inspiration from Minesweeper, the clues
tell you which letters can be placed in an adjacent square. It’s
a crossword-style puzzle solved using logic!
This collection of POWGI puzzles is the most challenging yet,
with a total of 720 puzzles and two brand new games - Gaps and
Wordsweeper - which are exclusive to POWGI.
To help players begin to solve unfamiliar puzzles, the
developers have produced a series of “how to play” videos, which
have been shared on Miiverse and posted to their YouTube
channel. Also new in Word Logic by POWGI is the ability to save
progress mid-puzzle, allowing players to take a break from a
complex Word Sudoku puzzle, for example, and continue it at
another time.
Word Games are Lightwood’s speciality and this is their third
collaboration with POWGI for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U. Word Search
by POWGI was released in April 2015, followed by Word Puzzles by
POWGI in February 2016. Logic Puzzles by POWGI is priced $9.99 /
€8.99 / £7.99 with cross-buy included. A free downloadable demo
will be released in the near future.
