Lightwood Games announces Epic Word Search Collection and Word Party

April 8, in the year of our Lord 2015, Stoke-on-Trent, UK – With the release of Word Search by POWGI scheduled for April 16th 2015, Lightwood Games today announces details of its forthcoming games for the Nintendo eShop on Nintendo 3DS and Wii U.

Keeping to the niche of word puzzle games, for which they have become well known on mobile platforms, Lightwood's next releases will be Epic Word Search Collection and Word Party.

Epic Word Search Collection

Already a regular fixture in Lightwood's release schedule on iOS, each Epic Word Search is a unique type of word puzzle: a giant word search which contains around 1,500 different words. Using a grid of letters that is much larger than the screen, players have to scroll around the grid to find all the words.

The combination of a circle pad and touchscreen provides an intuitive way to explore and tackle these puzzles on Nintendo 3DS and using the Wii U GamePad.

In addition, up to 4 Wii Remote controllers can be connected so you can solve the puzzle with friends or family.

Epic Word Search Collection for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U will bundle together five of Lightwood's most popular puzzles into a single download: Movies, TV, Food, Sports and Rock. Each puzzle takes around ten hours to solve.

Epic Word Search Collection will be released in the summer.

Word Party

Lightwood has also announced a Wii U exclusive game. Featuring many different mini-games, Word Party is a word game frenzy for up to five players.

"We had a lot of fun with the multiplayer mode in Word Search by POWGI and wanted to make more puzzles in the same vein", said Lightwood's Chris Newman. "This is the party game we've always wanted to play, and we could only make it for Wii U!".

With more than 30 mini-games, players could find themselves grappling for alphabet fridge magnets, firing at targets to spell words or playing competitive variants on some classic word puzzles to see who comes out as champion.

Word Party is expected to be released in late 2015.
