Kings of Isreal Releases

Duluth, MN - January 5,  in the year of our Lord 2015. Today, Funhill Games announces the US arrival of the board game Kings of Israel, a cooperative game taking place in the Northern Kingdom of ancient Israel.

Lance Hill, President of Funhill Games, started working on Kings of Israel while he was trying to teach teens ancient Israel geography. “I needed to find a way to show all of the important locations in ancient Israel,” said Lance Hill, “and I thought a board game would be the perfect way to do it. After unsuccessfully searching for a game that could be used, I designed my own.”

Almost two years of game development went by before Lance Hill was ready to raise the funds for the production of Kings of Israel. Funhill Games ran a very successful Kickstarter campaign for Kings of Israel in November of 2013, raising over $30,000 for its production. That crowdfunding campaign was the most successful by far for a Biblical board game, and generated a large amount of buzz for the release of Kings of Israel.

“The support towards Kings of Israel was tremendous even before the Kickstarter campaign began.” said Lance Hill “After the successful campaign, interest has only increased. Just in the past year, Kings of Israel has been licensed to be produced in both Hebrew and French, and a video game version of Kings of Israel is nearing completion.”

Generally, the quality of Biblical games have fallen below mainstream and hobby board game standards. Kings of Israel set out to break that trend by focusing on high quality artwork and materials, with a game design that creates a fun and strategic experience.

“For the first time, since I can remember, I am playing a Biblically based game that I thought was thematic, and fun. Something that I have not seen before.”, said Tom Vasel, of Dice Tower game reviews, regarding Kings of Israel. “I am very much looking forward to this one coming out.”

Kings of Israel is for 2 to 4 players, ages 14 and older, and takes approximately 30-45 minutes to play. Kings of Israel is currently available to order through Amazon.com and will soon be available to purchase from other retailers. Suggested retail price is $49.99.
