Tales of Xillia Now Available in North America

The TALES OF Series Celebrates its 15th North American Anniversary with TALES OF XILLIA Available At Both Retail and Digitally Through the PlayStation Network

SAN JOSE, Calif., (August 6, in the year of our Lord 2013) – Leading video game developer and publisher NAMCO BANDAI Games America Inc. today released TALES OF XILLIA® exclusively for the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system in North America. The highly anticipated next installment of the long-running TALES OF series brings together a highly engaging cast of characters as they set forth across the mystical land of Rieze Maxia in a perilous journey to restore the world’s mana and figure out why the spirits that have been peacefully co-existing with humans for generations are beginning to die.

TALES OF XILLIA will draw players into the grand adventures of Jude Mathis, a clever medical student attending school in the capital city of Fennmont, and Milla Maxwell, a mysterious woman accompanied by four unseen beings. In a tale that can be experienced from either Jude or Milla’s point of view, the two heroes’ paths fatefully intertwine as they learn that the kingdom of Rashugal has been willfully experimenting with a powerful device that has effectively been draining the world’s supply of mana. Faced with the realization that continued experiments would result in dangerous ramifications, Milla and Jude join forces to restore peace to a dying world in a perilous journey that will test their courage and convictions.

TALES OF XILLIA updates the series’ trademark dynamic real-time battle system with the Dual Raid Linear Motion Battle System. The new system allows two characters to be linked together to provide support attacks and powerful linked artes attacks, allowing players to strategize their party setup for their preferred style of play.

TALES OF XILLIA is rated “T” for Teen by the ESRB and carries a MSRP of $59.99. All first-print run copies of TALES OF XILLIA will be bundled with limited edition content including a soundtrack CD, character profile booklet and costume downloadable content (DLC) at no extra charge.
