TY the Tasmanian Tiger Boomerangs onto the Windows 8 App Store
Beloved Aussie Gaming Icon Returns in New Action Platformer for Gamers of All Ages at Home or On the Go

2013 – Krome Studios, one of Australia’s
longest-running game developers, today announced the launch of
its brand new action platform game, TY the Tasmanian Tiger™, on
the Windows 8 Store. The game is designed to bring out the best
of both tablet play and standard PC gaming – at home or on the
go. Built from the ground up for the popular Windows 8 tablets
and PCs, TY the Tasmanian Tiger features intuitive platforming
adventures, dazzling 2D animation, and lush organic worlds with
branching paths to explore. To help celebrate the release, TY
the Tasmanian Tiger is available at launch for a special
introductory price of US $4.99.
The TY the Tasmanian Tiger video game series has sold millions
of copies around the world, and TY the Tasmanian Tiger marks a
return to the franchise’s platforming roots. The new game
features a shiny new coat of High Definition 2D gameplay and
artwork developed with Krome’s new proprietary MASE engine.
Players take control of TY as he and his mates at Bush Rescue
help the locals out of trouble with the aid of his trusty
Boomerangs. Explore TY’s colorful world, from the Great Barrier
Reef to the lush rainforests and the dusty expanses of the
Australian Outback, in over thirty fun-filled levels suitable
for players of any age. Most stages feature branching paths and
accessible puzzles that reward exploration and interaction with
TY’s friends and the world of the Outback. New features include
the ability to play as favorite TY characters and the addition
of new mini games in which players can challenge friends to
determine the true “Dead Set ‘Rang Legend.”

controller or keyboard support depending on their preference. TY
the Tasmanian Tiger can be played on Windows 8 devices including
Windows RT tablets as well as laptops, ultrabooks, or desktop
PCs.
TY the Tasmanian Tiger is published by Microsoft Studios and was
