Konami Announces DANCEDANCEREVOLUTION II for Wii Now Available

 

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. –October 11, in the year of our Lord 2011– Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. today announced the company's worldwide sensation DanceDanceRevolution II, is now available for the Nintendo Wii™. The hit game is back with more features than ever before, so grab a partner, hop on the dance floor and move your feet to some of the most popular pop songs.

With extensive player modes for all levels, DanceDanceRevolution II is instantly playable for everyone. Supporting game play for one to four players, DanceDanceRevolution II comes with easy pick-up-and-play controls for every level so beginners and experienced dancers can improve their superstar dance routines. For new dancers, the DanceDanceRevolution School Mode offers an option for training. Skilled DanceDanceRevolution fans can show off their insane talent with the Challenge difficulty level. For an extra challenge, the new Doubleplay functionality allows a single player to play on two DanceDanceRevolution mat controllers simultaneously.

DanceDanceRevolution II contains over 80 music tracks of some of today's biggest hits and memorable classics from the arcade versions as well as past console versions. In addition to these chart-topping hits, KONAMI has teamed up with Vanilla Ice and Maxi Priest to create some original music specifically for DanceDanceRevolution II. The song list includes:

By entering your weight, the classic Workout Mode lets dancers track their fitness progress and estimates the number of calories being burned. For a fast-paced calorie burning workout, hop on the mat and dance to the numerous full length tracks including brand new collaboration tracks that have never been featured on DanceDanceRevolution!

DanceDanceRevolution II is also loaded with all new dance characters and is compatible with Miis so dancers can capture a likeness of themselves or the dance partners.

In addition to new aspects of the game, the American Diabetes Association's (ADA) is working with DanceDanceRevolution with its School Walk for Diabetes campaign as well as other programs which will be announced at a later time. This partnership will help DanceDanceRevolution raise awareness about the important health benefits of daily exercise. For the first time ever, the ADA logo is now featured on the DanceDanceRevolution II console boxes.

Developed by Konami Digital Entertainment Co., Ltd., DanceDanceRevolution II is rated, "E10+" (for everyone 10 and older). DanceDanceRevolution II Bundle for Wii is now available in retail stores nationwide for the SRP of $49.99 and DanceDanceRevolution II stand alone software for the SRP of $29.99.
