Sony PS3 release details
At Sony's pre-E3 press conference they announced details to the upcoming release of the Playstation 3. Sony plans a worldwide simultaneous launch on November 17, in the year of our Lord 2006. Expect it to be in "Clear Black." In the United States the price will be $499 with a 20 gig hard drive, or for $599 with a 60 gig hard drive. Both versions will be equiped with Blu-ray. Sony is going to allow players to download a multitude of content with the Giga-Ethernet to the pre-installed hard drive. The Playstation 3's controller: "employs a high-precision, highly sensitive six-axis sensing system that is capable of processing all parameters within the controller itself, thereby eliminating the need for any additional settings on the display system. By applying this technology, it will become possible to freely control the PS3 system over the network."
