--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 12/31/2005 A new preview has been added. All four of the reviews from FFG issue #1 were rebuilt from the ground up (for the website) to save on memory and to have the reviews load faster. Not everything is a perfect match for how it was in print, but pretty close. This also gives those interested in the magazine a little taste of what to expect. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 12/24/2005 Four reviews from Family Friendly Gaming #1 have been added to the Reviews page. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 12/23/2005 The home page was revised to have a couple of the links in the upper right to be moved to the Fun page, where it makes more sense. The Editor's Desk page was added, along with a MERRY CHRISTMAS message from editor in chief Paul Bury. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 12/18/2005 The home page was adjusted to a different template since Internet Explorer can not handle the table like the other browsers do. Those using Firefox saw the page how it was supposed to do, but IE put a huge gap on the page. The Working Man Gamer page was adjusted to be linked on all major site pages. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 12/12/2005 The Working Man Gamer had something to share about Animal Crossing. Can you dig it? --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 12/11/2005 Added the first page for the Working Man Gamer. He sounds off about the VGA. There was also some small changes to the home page. A new preview was added. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 12/05/2005 The website redesign using Dreamweaver has been completed. We would love to hear from ya'll, to hear what you think about it. We also would love to hear your suggestions for improvements. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 11/23/2005 HAPPY THANKSGIVING YA'LL. I absolutely had to get that out there a day early, and I know there will be people stopping by on Thanksgiving too. Family Friendly Gaming #3 is done. Subscribers hard copies have gone to the binder. Because of the holiday we will not get them back until Tuesday. They should be mailed the end of the month, along with your HA (Huge Announcement). The PDF should be on the site for sale this weekend (God willing). I will be getting on the website redesign next, and I mean seriously getting on it. I want to thank each and every one of your for supporting this ministry, and for reading what we have to say. God bless you and yours. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 11/10/2005 I totally forgot that we had over 12 thousand hits in the month of October. Praise God. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 11/05/2005 Doing the small monthly updates while on vacation. That means I am playing in straight HTML only, please forgive any mistakes. We are getting really close to having issue #3 completed, and it is our best one yet. God bless all ya'll. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 10/30/2005 The Bible Game on the PS2(and Xbox) totally ROCKS! The Bible Game on the Gameboy Advance is also an exceptional game. I have had a few hours with each, and gotta tell all ya'll how really cool both of these games are. We found the GBA version at a Target, and the PS2 version at an eBgames. Best Buy says they have these games as well, and Toy's R Us told me the first week of November. These are exciting times. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 10/25/2005 First off a major congratulations goes out to Pastor Buntain from Life Center for 40 years of service. He has served longer than I have been alive. We have been really growing at this church, and it was totally God's will for us to change. Work is going great on issue #3, and I hope to get some time the first couple of weeks in November to work with Dreamweaver. Your prayers that this ministry could become full time is greatly appreciated. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 10/16/2005 The winner of the Family Friendly Fox mascot contest was Cheryl Gress (from CCGR.org ). Congrats, and good job. The website redesign has been put on the back burner while issue #3 is being worked on heavily. This is an exciting time for gamers as the Bible Game is coming out in a short few days, and the Bibleman game is currently being sold. We have also made an adjustment to our advertisement rates in the magazine. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 10/10/2005 This update is mainly about what is going on behind the scenes. We have purchased the new website software, and will start saving up for the new print publishing software. God willing we will be using some better print publishing software for issue #5. Work continues on issue #3 a little slower right now than we would like - but most of us are sick thanks to a co-worker of Paul's. No worries, we will be on schedule. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 10/01/2005 A small update to the 'Of the month' selections. The deadline has been put on the mascot competition, sorry for forgetting that with the last update. Some people have found HA hint #1 - good job ya'll. There is now a second HA hint on the website. Let the search begin anew. :) We have found a new binding method that is more cost efficient. Website redesign is coming along as time allows, as is FFG #3. Note: HA hints will bring you closer, bear in mind the HA is complex. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 9/25/2005 Work continues on Family Friendly Gaming #3, and it is coming along nicely. We would like to thank everyone for their input. We are looking at more cost efficient binding/ printing options. A new link has been added. The Wanted Page has the need for some art for the magazine mascot, along with a nice little prize for the winning entry. The website redesign is coming along nicely, and we are working the kinks out of our huge announcement. HA hint is hidden on this website, can you find it? --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 9/14/2005 There is not a lot of news right now, but I wanted to let everyone know we are still alive. Work continues on issue #3. We are making some changes to the mission statement, and kicking around some new distribution ideas. Paul has been learning Dreamweaver and working on an all new totally redesigned website for the near future with some really cool features. We would like to thank everyone for their feedback as of late. We are hoping and praying to get advertisements on this site after the redesign. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 9/01/2005 There are some small site updates. We have worked diligently on the ISBN number, and issue #3 is underway. Expect a HUGE announcement coming up in the next 3-4 months on the direction of this ministry. We are shopping around for some better web publishing software. We have included an all new grading scale that we will be using to grade all the video games we review. We are planning on more material on the website in the coming quarter, and year. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 8/14/2005 *Issue #2 is now completed. We have added Buy it now buttons for both issue two in electronic format, and the yearly subscription. The new cover is on the home page to encourage you to support this ministry, get important news on Christian game developers, and to assist you in sifting through all the garbage video games out there - to find those gems. Plus you can expect a few surprises in FFG #2. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 8/10/2005 *My apologies ya'll for not making this update sooner. I have been blitzing on issue number TWO! It is currently going through the proofing process. Once that is released online in electronic form for download, I will start working on the ISBN number for the magazine. I have added some more links. We are now being sold in Dightman's at the Tacoma, WA store so you can pick one up if you are local. A super shout out goes to Kenny Yeager for his wonderful work at the CGDC this year. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 7/30/2005 In one of the fastest updates to this site ever, there was a whole lot to update. First things first, there is a coverage of the CGDC on its own separate page. The link to it is on the home page in the text. We got a lot of feedback at the CGDC, and there was a lot of demand for Family Friendly Gaming to be done in electronic format. So for the bare bones cost of $3.00, FFG #1 can be purchased through Paypal, and it can be downloaded in .PDF format. We are happy to have been the first to share the news items from the CGDC 2005. We know you trust us to deliver. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 7/27/2005 Some minor changes were made to the web site in the way of content, and links. We are also eagerly awaiting the Christian Game Developers Conference in Portland Oregon this weekend. It should be an awesome event. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 7/17/2005 A small text change to the home page, the links page was reorganized, and an all new Plus page was added. Started to get excited about the upcoming CGDC 2005 (Christian Game Developers Conference). --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 7/02/2005 There is an all new section on the 'Danger!' page. The 'Of the Month' was also updated for the month. There are a few new links on the links page. Work continues on issue #2, and has been going well. A local Christian chain has offered to allow us to sell FFG in their stores. We are still working out the details. We are eagerly anticipating the CGDC 2005. We are just under 10 thousand hits a month now. Praise God. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 6/11/2005 The 'About Us' page has been redesigned along with showing the staff. Two new writers are on the listing (one was mentioned last week). God has been seriously blessing this ministry, and we all are extremely thankful. Work continues on issue #2, due out the beginning of September. The CGDC 2005 is coming up soon, and after that I will start work on the UPC for the magazine. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 6/04/2005 From 4:30pm to 5:20pm on Thursday June 2 in the year of our Lord 2005 editor in chief Paul Bury was on Live from Seattle with Thor Tolo on KGNW AM820 radio. It was a wonderful treat to be live in the studio and coming across the air waves. Of the month was updated, the Wanted page, and there are some new links. Work is beginning on issue #2. A new writer has joined the team. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 5/29/2005 I have recieved the magazine copies from the print shop. There are two errors on some of the review pages, which is a major learning experience for all of us here. All subscribers copies have been mailed. Your copy should arrive this week. Paul Bury will be a part of a work shop at the CGDC on the Christian video game magazine project. The dream is slowly becoming a reality. We are not ready to completely compete with the big boy publishers, but each step brings us closer. Want to be in the magazine? Fill out the Gaming 4 Christ questionnaire and you may wind up in the magazine. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 5/21/2005 The home page has some exciting news along with an exciting pic - the front cover of FFG #1. I have been giving to this ministry as a sacrifice to the Lord, every donation, subscription, and support is greatly helpful. I am adding a wanted page for what we need. Writers, and an artist are the top of the list in order to grow this ministry. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 5/02/2005 The website file I had got corrupted, and would no longer publish. This was actually a blessing in disguise. My employer has been teaching me web design and I realized this site needed an entire redesign. This is that redesign. There is also a link for those interested in applying for an advertisement in Family Friendly Gaming. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 4/16/2005 Three major changes to the web site. First off I learned about Printmaster converting all my text boxes to graphics. That has been corrected so those searching can find this site. By popular demand there is a subscription form for Family Friendly Gaming. Print and mail it in. News and Events now has an archive. There is now a letter to the editor link as well. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 4/07/2005: New of the month on the front page, and a few minor tweaks. The first issue of Family Friendly Gaming is coming along nicely. We are still looking for a magazine publisher. God will provide if it is in His will. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3/19/2005: Some minor changes to the web site for the sake of conformity, and a major color scheme upgrade. We are still taking offers from publishers to find a good publisher for the magazine. Suggestions, and/or publishers can be emailed to us: familyfriendlygaming@yahoo.com. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3/15/2005: Praise be to God for so many wonderful visitors with such awesome ideas to improve this web site. You will notice the newest page - DANGER! This page was redesigned to more appropriately reflect what the name. Some more content was added to other pages, along with some shifting of pages. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3/13/2005: The official release of Family Friendly Gaming.com. Thank you one and all for all your prayers, and support. You are the real stars of this web site being unleashed. I know this site has a long way to go, as does the Christian video game magazine project. God willing we get up that hill. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
